Under the Medical Device Administrative Control System, contact lens is a class II medical device. The pamphlet “What is Contact Lens?” is jointly composed by the Central Health Education Unit of the Department of Health, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It aims at introducing users to different types and functions of contact lenses, the selection and care of contact lenses, and the precautions in using them.
