Seminar on Medical Devices — Overview of the Medical Device Safety Alert System and Adverse Incident Reporting System
 

The Medical Device Control Office will organize a series of seminars to enhance the public and healthcare professionals on their knowledge of medical devices. The first seminar in 2008 is now open for enrolment with details as follows:

Topic : Overview of the Medical Device Safety Alert System and Adverse Incident Reporting System
Target Audience : Risk Managers/Administrators of Healthcare Institutions and Regulatory Affairs Personnel of the Medical Device Trade
Speakers : Officers from Medical Device Control Office, Department of Health
Content : The Medical Device Safety Alert System, introduced in January 2005, is designed to safeguard the public from problematic medical devices through regular monitoring, follow-up and dissemination of medical device safety alerts/product recall messages and the effective adverse incident reporting system. This seminar introduces the objectives, scope and mechanism of the system and explains the roles and responsibilities of different parties involved.
